The device can ping local ntp server but not time service

Hi,
Can a device/workstation/system sync the same time as the local NTP server (if it's connected to it by GPO, ADDS), BUT cannot ping in itself the time service (0.asia.pool.ntp etc.) the NTP server is connected to?

I just want to know if the workstation which cannot ping a certain time service (0.asia.pool.ntp etc.) BUT can ping the NTP server, will still have the same time as the NTP server? Which by the way, the NTP server can ping the time service. (enabled GPO as NTP server)

Based on my understanding , you want to ask if the clients can sync time with the NTP server correctly when the clients can't contact to the external time source, right?
If i understand rightly , the clients can sync the time with the NTP server.Best Regards,

2021-02-16T01:06:13.617+00:00 There's no guarantee that an NTP server is going to respond to ICMP echo request. Some general info
- All domain members should use NT5DS domain time.
- Desktops and member servers sync with any domain controller.
- Domain controllers sync with PDC emulator (one per domain)
- PDC emulator in child domain can sync with any domain controller in parent domain.
- PDC emulator in parent domain syncs with either a hardware clock or possibly an external source.

2021-02-18T13:57:20.033+00:00 ICMP echo (ping) really has nothing to do with it. Depends on how it is configured. It's one or the other (NT5DS, NTP) You can check the configuration
