I did that and the installer comes up but it can't find the file. I read elsewhere that what you need to do is go to the command prompt and record the command to execute the installer followed by the file location and path. I haven't done that yet perhaps you have. Does it work? Why all of these issues with the update file after all of these years? Is it Microsoft trying to correct the slow "check for updates" process? Bing

I am trying to use the catalog to update my Vista system. How do I install an update that I have downloaded from the catalog? Is there a process that isn't obvious?
