Alienware community also answered my Question as to what the folder was for and they said that it most likely just had a program in it called Support Assist which could always be reinstalled from the Dell website, and that it had no involvement with Windows 7 at all so I got off easy this time and I will surly keep the junk in the RB for at least a month before I dump it! So once again thanks to you guys and Dell for helping me with this.
Deleted Folder accidentaly from program files folder on drive C Windows 7 Ultimate 64
Hello, just want to ask a question. I was given a list of instructions on how to remove a program manually. I followed these instructions, and all went well except I jumped the gun a little quickly. the name of the application was command center made by Dell for Alienware computers. I was instructed to delete some folders from the Alienware folder located in the program files folder, (Not X86) But I Accidentally erased the whole folder even from the recycle bin. I would just like to know if this will cause a problem. right now everything seems to be okay. I would also like to add that I tried to recover it with system restore but for whatever reason that failed. Many, Many, Thanks!

2016-10-19T22:15:04+00:00 Hey thanks for the quick response, I did jump the gun with the recycle bin,so that's good advice. I was not concerned if deleting that file damaged a program I was more concerned about it damaging the Operating system.

2016-10-19T18:21:34+00:00 System Restore doesn't work that way -- it only monitors specific key system files and registry locations. It cannot be used to recover deleted files (unless the file that got deleted was on the system restore list of "monitored files" in the first place).
I don't understand why you would empty the recycle bin so quickly. That's what it's there for, so you can undo if you make a mistake. When you are doing things like this, it's best to leave the deleted thing in the recycle bin for several days (or weeks) so you can be sure you really want it deleted before you totally empty the trash.
But now, there's really no way of knowing. You may not need the files you deleted, or you may only find out a long time in the future when you try to use something that needs it.
