Error code 13EC on Windows Update .net framework 4.5.2

Question

I receive the following error codes when installing Windows update .net framework 4.5.2 on a 2008 Server R2 SP1.

"WindowsUpdate_000013EC" "WindowsUpdate_dt000"

I have tried many solutions, and am unable to find a fix from previous posts that will work for this issue. What are your suggestions to resolve this error code?

We suggest you try to follow the steps below:

**Method 1:**Open the Windows Update Troubleshooter.

Method 2: Set your computer in Clean Boot state and then try to install the updates.

By setting your system in clean boot state helps in identifying if any third party applications or startup items are causing the issue.

Note: After clean boot troubleshooting step, follow Step 7 in the provided link to return your computer to Normal startup mode.

Method 3: If the issue persists then try installing .Net frame work 4 manually with the help of link below:

Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5.2.

Method 4: Uninstall all the version of .net frame work completely from your computer using removal tool, and then try to install .Net frame work 4.
