system sounds & some malware

Hi,

Previously I had win7 ultimate & now the PC has been upgraded to win 10 pro.

  1. my PC making weird notification sounds between short time interval & its making me crazy. but I can't find any error or problem. After some searching its "windows foreground sounds" so I disable it but its not a solution Bcz the error or problem remain the same.

2.between these 3/4 days of my OS upgrade I noticed internet usage data & I find "u.exe" using about 1GB of data usage. but I can't find what it's? so is this a virus or system files? is it dangerous to my PC?

  1. when I scan with "windows malicious software removal" tool it shows 15 infected files. when it finish its shows no malicious files is found not even these 15 infected files. so is it removed or repaired I don't know. Bcz when I scan with my on board antivirus software it shows nothing.

                          So can you guys help me with these problem, Bcz I don't have any clues what is happening?

    The first MBAM scan detected & quarantined PUPs (Potentially Unwanted Programs). If successive scans have detected nothing further, don't concern yourself with the manual MSRT scan results.

    If you (a) configure Defender such that it scans for PUPs (AKA PUAs/Adware), [1] (b) manually update Defender's Definitions via the Update button on the Update tab and then (c) run a Full scan, is anything detected & removed/quarantined?

    hi,

    yes I resolved all the previous BSODs before upgraded to win 10, even I updated all win 7 updates before upgrade.

    about my 2nd problem the "u.exe", I find it's  a VPN service of ultrasurf.net that I use some times.

    when my friend suggest me to run Malwarebytes-Antimalware software & it shows some infected files & remove it, so

    I think its better to run window's own malware removal tool. Is there any problem to run manually?
