EPSON Printer refusing to scan.

error message

Windows cannot find 'C:\Windows\twain_32\escndv\escndv.exe'. make sure you typed the name correctly and then try again.

Epson have sent me the Scanner file to reinstall but it still isn't working. All previous scanners have been deleted.

    I think the problem is with Windows and having rung Epson 4 times and exhausted their help, I felt it was right to ask Windows.

    As yet I have had no answers with any suggestions.

    i rang Microsoft but the technician would only attempt to help if I paid for Microsoft help at £65 for a month. Since this is more than the price on the printer/scanner, I declined.

    It's all been very disappointing.

    Hi Alison,

    In order to assist you effectively, kindly verify the following:

    • Were there any recent changes made to your system prior to the issue?
    • Did Windows gave you that error message when you were trying to use your scanner, or were you trying to install a the scanner?

    The Printer/scanner was installed 3 weeks ago and works perfectly as a printer. This was the first time that I had used the scanner. No other changes to the computer beforehand.
