CD Drive slowing down pc

Hello all!

I have an hp elitebook 8460p. Since Recently when i try to play a cd/dvd on it my laptop slows down,even after i remove the disc it still stays slow until i restart it. Do you have any solution.

    Hello,

    To better assist you, does this happen whenever you put in A CD inside the drive? Have you tried to put in different CDs?

    Hi,

    Have you tried consulting from an HP technician regarding the hardware? It could be a hardware issue. Do you experience slowness just when you're inserting CDs to the drive?

    It happens most of the time. I have tried different CDs and most of the time the laptop slows down.
