Windows Media Player Error

I am working on one of my users computers, she is running Windows 7 64-bit. We noticed there is no windows media player installed on her computer. I cannot find a download out on Microsoft's website so I copied the files from my pc to hers. When I try to do the setup or the run we receive the following message: "An unexpected error has occurred. Setup was not able to detect any Windows Media updates. Please try again later."

I have seen on other posts that it is because Windows Updates is not running correctly but I have checked that and her is running and everything is up-to-date.
