Program not listed on add/remove on win server 2012

Based on the article here 

https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/247515

it was found that windows is not able to list the program if the program you installed creates a registry key name that is longer than 60 characters in length.

We would like to know if this is valid for win server 2012 

we have installed nxlog but were unable to see it on add/remove from where we can uninstall the program.
