I am having issue even after installing all the visual C++ redistributable packages with the game cossacks the european wars . Starting from 2005 to 2013 ; I installed everyone of the c++ packages . I did the same when I was on windows xp sp3 . That time it worked . But now it isn't working anymore . I tried compatibility mode for windows xp sp3 . But it didn't work then either . Everytime I get visual c++ runtime library ; assertion error ; expression : false . I checked if direct x is installed with dxdiag command and it's present too . I just don't know what's causing this issue . i attached the screenshot .

I also tried with windows xp sp3 virtual machine and the result is still the same . I just can't understand what's missing . Is it net framework ? Or is it older version of visual c++ packages ? Or older .net framework packages ?

Any help would really be appreciated .

Regards

    Hi,

To help you with your concern regarding the Visual C++, Let me suggest you to check for available updates for the game you're referring to. Go to Settings > Update & security > Windows Update > Check for updates. If the updates are available, download and install them and see if the issue persist.

Please let us know how it goes for us to assist you further.

Thanks . But I already figured it out . It was a faulty application actually . I redownloaded from source and everything is fine now .
