when I try to open .exe file it says this app cannot run on your pc. How can I fix this problem. please I need help to solve this problem

What software application are you trying to run? There are possibilities as to why it won't run, but there may be possible solutions to resolve that problem. If you could be more specific on this.

Ok. There are a lot of people besides you who are also experiencing the same problem. McAffee is officially owned by Intel corporation. However, they appear to be in the process of looking into the issue to come up with the solution if they have not already or otherwise there may be a newer version of it that has been released.

In the meantime, you can try running their software tools to try to resolve it. But I do suggest that the Windows Defender protection that came preinstalled with Windows to be disabled before attempting to run those tools.

To run the McAffee software tools, follow these steps;

1. Try running the MCPR tool. from link below

2. Restart the computer
3. Open Internet explorer, Click on Tools, Internet Options -> Advanced -> Reset

4. Then run the Pitool from the link below

If that still does not solve the problem, the likely case may be that you probably have an older version of McAffee. You would need to get the newer version which requires a payment. They do have a free trial version in the upper right hand corner. If the copy you have is the newer version, then try downloading another copy of it from their website, but you would need to go to the Renewal page to fill out the required information from the copy you have. If you experience small problems or that you have questions, you can contact them through their Support Center.
