SCCM and SQL Installation Issues

Hi

Currently looking at installing SCCM and SQL

the structure is that we will have the site server (SCCM Server) and we will have a separate SQL server from the SCCM server.

I have got all the firewalls configured but i keep getting the following errors and I'm currently stuck, I have changed the authentication to Windows and SQL authentication.

I have enabled Remote Connection

But I get these errors:

1. [A network-related or instance-specific error occurred while establishing a connection to SQL Server. The server was not found or was not accessible. Verify that the instance name is correct and that SQL Server is configured to allow remote connections. (provider: Named Pipes Provider, error: 40 - Could not open a connection to SQL Server)], Exception details: [System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException (0x80131904): A network-related or instance-specific error occurred while establishing a connection to SQL Server. The server was not found or was not accessible. Verify that the instance name is correct and that SQL Server is configured to allow remote connections. (provider: Named Pipes Provider, error: 40 - Could not open a connection to SQL Server) ---> System.ComponentModel.Win32Exception (0x80004005): The system cannot find the file specified

Any ideas please help guys.

I would really appreciate the help.

Kind Regards,

Tom Gorgis

    Hi,

These forums do not support the Business side products and services (except for Office).

TechNet is Official Microsoft Support for those and there will be MVP's and others knowledgeable to help.

    (I am there as well).

Would you have anyone in the MVP space that is specialised in SCCM and SQL that can support me through this.

    It would be greatly appreciated.
