Microsoft Treasure Hunt Bug

After the Bonus Round, screen flashes and eventually shuts down the program -- even when I minimize (which has prevented shut down at times). When I sign in again, the Bonus Round stairs are closed with no doubles or restoral of number of lives. It used to happen just occasionally, eventually resulting in a total failure that caused loss of all upgrades, but now the flashing is happening after every Bonus Round. I've read a number of complaints of the same issue over a few years, but it seems there's no way to fix the bugs except to uninstall and reinstall -- which deletes all upgrades again. (Several times, shut down results in total file corruption, which returns the program with 0 upgrades. It's done this several times. I've vowed that if it does it again, I'm just going to need to delete Treasure Hunt -- regretfully.)

Win10 on PC (not tablet)

Please tell me there's a bug fix and where to find it.  Thanks.

Method 3. Clear Windows Store cache.

    1. Press Windows key + X on your keyboard.
    2. Click on Command prompt (Admin).

Thanks for trying to help, Loraine, but as it says in the Win10 games section on the link you provided, "On the game detail page, the button will show Open if you have the latest version. If it shows Update, select it to update your game." It only shows Open, not Update. That's been constant all along except when I've deleted and reinstalled -- which has not fixed the problem. Try again?

    Hi Margo,

In-game issues are normally caused by server errors. If you are experiencing this issue in the Bonus Round specifically with Microsoft Treasure Hunt only, it can be resolved by updating the game.

Click this linkand perform the recommended steps to resolve the issue with Microsoft Treasure Hunt on your computer.

If the issue persists, visit the game’s community page to ask questions and get additional support from the Microsoft Casual Games team on this link.

Thanks for your help, Nathaniel, but neither option corrected anything. Win10 updates routinely (Pro version), so that's not it. After running the troubleshooter, I tried Treasure Hunt again and it did the same flashing and closing. I ran the file checker tool that found no integrity violations.

Do those results tell you where else we can look?
