Restrict access to windows folder

Question

I want to restrict access to windows folder in c: drive but not whole drive. I want to allow user access my document, download, programme files etc.  but not window folder. Is it possible.

Provide read access for Windows folder and read & write to remaining folders.

If UAC (User Account Control) is at its default level then everyone has read-access to the Windows folder but nobody has write-access.

Standard user accounts cannot change the UAC level. Admin accounts can.

I work on a single pc which is used by several friends. My computer not connected with any networking. I want to restrict individual pc window folder write access.

It depends on what you mean: read-access or write-access.
