I'm trying to access my music through Kodi on my Firestick. My PC runs Windows 10. My music folder contains 600 sub folders (over 10,000 if you include sub folders of the sub folders). All of these folders are on my C: drive.
I can share my music folder or any of the sub folders if I select "properties...sharing...advanced sharing" for that one folder. None of the sub folders become shared. Each sub folder says "not shared". I check the "inheritable permission" box to no apparent effect.
I'm in a private network profile: choosing: Turn on network discovery, turn on file and printer sharing, and allow windows to manage homegroup connections. Guest or Public is set the same. All Networks is set to: Turn off public folder sharing (turning it on has no effect), Enable file sharing for 40 or 56 bit encryption(128bit has no effect on whether a sub folder is shared), allow media streaming to multiple devices(including Firestick), turn off password protected sharing.
I'm not going to initiate "share" 10,000 times. What else can I do to share all these folders?
