I cannot access my computer. When I try to log in with my pin I get the response "Something went wrong (code 0x80090016).

I did not set a password so I am locked out of my account.

How do I fix this issue.

Regards

Daniel Kelly

    Hi Daniel,

A possible software conflict or certificate error could be causing this problem in logging into your computer. For us to further isolate this problem, we suggest that you boot your computer in Safe Mode and log in, then reboot back into normal mode. To do that, follow the steps below:

    1. Hold down the Shift key while you press the Power icon and select Restart.
    2. In the Windows Recovery Environment, select Troubleshoot > Advanced options > Startup Settings > Restart.
    3. When your computer restarts, the Startup Settings will display. Select option 4 to Enable Safe Mode.
    4. Sign in to your account while in Safe Mode and see if you're able to log in using your PIN.
    5. Restart your computer to return to a normal boot.

Please update us with the result so we can further assist you.

    Regards.
