    Hi Alan,

For us to effectively assist you, kindly answer the following questions:

    1. What type of printer are you using?
    2. Have you made any changes with your computer recently?

Alternatively, you can simply run a System file check (SFC) by following this link.

    Regards.

I have recently reset Windows10 with the saving files feature.  After reset my PC is 99.9% back to normal with this one exception. I now frequently get this error message:

Ordinal 342 could not be located in the dynamic link library c:\windows\system32\spool\Drivers\x64\3\mxdwdrv.dll.

The other posts on this site state they get this message because they CAN'T get their printers to work properly.  My printer is properly connected (wireless), powers on and prints PERFECTLY.  our other PC also prints to this printer on our Home Group setting.   My printer WORKS PERFECTLY.  Why am I getting this error message and how do I turn it off?Thank you.

Hi Alan, would you mind sharing some detail on how DISM solved the problem? I've run both SFC /scannow and the command line repair using: dism.exe /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth but the problem hasn't been resolved.

Did not solve my problem, but did point to DISM which was helpful in pinpointing and repairing the problem. Working correctly again.
