Error message: OpenGL driver missing or out dated

I am having trouble installing and using a program called Lego Digital Designer(LDD). I originally had LDD installed on my PC running Windows 7. However, when I upgraded to Windows 10, LDD stopped working, (See figure 1) and I got this error message when I tried to open LDD:

Figure 1: LDD not working.

So, I went to try to re-install LDD to see if it would help. When LDD started to install, I got this error message:

And that's exactly what happened: LEGO Digital Designer did not function properly (see image below).

Also, once I open LDD, there is no way of closing it except for turning my PC off.

    Hi Anthony,

Based on the error message and the screenshots that you have provided, the program that you are trying to use requires an OpenGL to function correctly. To get rid of the error message, we recommend installing the latest display drivers on your PC. Please follow the steps below:

    1. Open the Device Manager and locate the Display Adapters.
    2. Click the Display Adapters and look for the graphics card driver.
    3. Uninstall the graphics card driver.
    4. Restart your PC.
    5. After restarting, visit the manufacturer's website to install the latest drivers available for your graphic card model.

We would also appreciate if you can provide us the build and version of Windows 10 that you are using so we can check if the program is compatible with the operating system.

We look forward to your response about the result.

Hi, when I got to step 2 in your instructions, I could not find Graphics card driverunder Display adapters (see photo).

Also, my Windows version is Windows 10 Home, version 1703.

You are on the right track. To continue troubleshooting, follow these steps:

    1. After clicking the Display adapters, right-click the Mobile Intel(R) and select Properties.
    2. Go to Driver tab and click the Uninstall button.
    3. Restart your PC.

After restarting your PC, you can either click the Scan for hardware changes located at the Device Manager's toolbar or visit the manufacturer's website and install the latest version of the driver if the issue still persists.

To Scan for hardware changes, follow these steps:

    1. In the Device Manager, locate the Display adapters.
    2. Click the Display adapters.
    3. Click the graphics card driver to highlight it.
    4. You will notice that the Scan for hardware changes icon becomes available in the toolbar.
    5. Click the icon to scan.

Don’t hesitate to ask for additional assistance.
