Hi,
Upgrade and update are used to describe separate concepts in SCCM. For more information about how each term is used, please see About upgrade, update, and install.
- If you mean update
there are updates available
May I know whether this is from a system notification or something else?
From Updates and servicing for Configuration Manager, in-console servicing will find and install recommended updates for your SCCM infrastructure. If check for updates finds nothing, perhaps your SCCM needs no updates. But there are out-of-band updates such as hotfixes which are intended for customers who need to resolve specific issues. So if your SCCM works fine, we think update is not needed.
Meanwhile , please make sure that permissions are assigned to view and manage updates and features.
To view updates in the console, a user must have a role-based administration security role that includes the security class Update packages. This class grants access to view and manage updates in the Configuration Manager console.
