OK. Thanks for the info. Though I must say that requiring a physical connection is so last century, I hope they revise this a.s.a.p.

What gives with Windows 10 Films and TV that I cannot cast a Windows Store rented movie to my Sony Bravia TV?
I have rented movies under both the stream and download options. And neither option will allow the movie to be cast to my TV from my computer.
I can cast other owned video to the TV so I know that it will work. I'm guessing there is some DRM issue here - which I understand for Apple and its gated garden. But Windows? Why cannot I play an MS rented movie onto a device that is connected to my PC using Windows 10 Home?
Aggravating.

And why casting/streaming does not work when that is an option in the Movies & TV app? The app will cast video that I "own." That is, that has no DRM restrictions. But what is the point of renting movies from the store when they cannot be cast onto my TV
- from any device.
(And though I have used a cable in the past, that is no longer an option as I have moved into a new house and the computer and TV are different rooms.)
