Microsoft .NET Framework 4.7 for Windows 10 Version 1607 and Windows Server 2016 for x64 (KB3186568) - Error 0x8e5e03fe
Help please! I keep getting this error messages when trying to update. The errors coming from the update are indicating that there is something wrong with my disc (so my brother says) but from the commands he ran there doesn't seem to be anything wrong with my disc.
I am very computer illiterate so I need step by step instruction.

- Who unlocked what and how did they do it?
- Who "reinstalled" Windows 10 Anniversary Update (Win10 1607) and how did they do it?
- How have you determined that the computer is no longer infected?

COMMENTS: - If you're currently running Windows 10 Version 1607, OS Build 14393.953, you haven't successfully installed a cumulative update since March 2017. No, that's not good. - Chances are (99.99%) your Dell computer came with a McAfee free-trial preinstalled. Doesn't matter if you never used it. Fact: McAfee (and Norton) applications are notorious for not uninstalling (or upgrading) cleanly. The "leftovers" may be your troublemaker here. That being said... - Over the years we've learned that there are times when it's too late for the McAfee and/or Norton removal tools to "come to the rescue." This may be another one of those times. -

- Came preinstalled with 8.1 but installed windows 10 immediately. Had a ransomeware 11/2016 and they unlocked it and reinstalled windows 10 anniversary.
- Dell
- I don't think so but Kaspersky might have been.
- I don't believe so
- 1607 (OS Build 14393.953)
I checked update history. It only goes back to 6/22/2017 but nothing has updated since that date possibly long then that.

- When (approx. date) did you purchase the computer?
- Did the computer come with Win10 preinstalled, did you do a clean install of Win10, or did you upgrade a Win7 computer or a Win8.1 computer [<=PICK ONE!] to Win10?
- Who manufactured the computer (e.g., Dell; HP; Acer; Lenovo; ASUS)?
- Has a Norton application or a McAfee application EVER been installed on the computer since you bought it?
- Have you ever run the Norton Removal Tool and/or the McAfee Consumer Products Removal Tool?
- What Version & OS Build of Windows 10 is currently installed?
- Press & hold the Windows Key and press theR key. In the RUN dialog, type WINVER and press the Enter key.
God only knows what KB4033637 might be!
