Windows Live Mail

I have been using windows Live Mail for some time but it has stopped sending email.

The error message reads

Server Error: 451

Server Response: 451 4.2.0 Internal queueing error

Server: 'smtp.tiscali.co.uk'

Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800CCC6A

Protocol:SMTP

Port: 587

Secure(SSL): Yes

I thought (still think) that this is a problem with my service supplier (Talktalk) but they think not.

Can anyone advise whether this is a Microsoft or Talktalk issue?

I can still send emails through webmail but prefer Windows Live Mail.

Any help would be appreciated

    This has happened to me too.  Everything was sending fine till today.   Do I hang tight or contact talktalk?

    My experience has been, like Colin, that it gets solved overnight. Calling TalkTalk is far too stressful and rarely solves anything in my experience. Their call centres just go throught the motions to avoid admitting responsibility.

    Hi Brian,

    Kindly add your email account again in Windows Live Mail to see if you will still experience the issue. To add an email account in Windows Live Mail, refer to this article. Just a reminder, kindly add your account again only. You don't need to delete the account that is already registered in your Windows Live Mail.

    I am also experiencing this problem.    Started a couple of days ago.   Also with TalkTalk and using Tiscali email address.   Would be grateful for any feedback please.

    Thank you for the fast response.

    This was the first time

    I could send emails until yesterday morning

    No changes to my computer

    Webmail was working

    UPDATE

    The issue resolved overnight which suggests that Talktalk have sorted something at their end despite them insisting that it was a Microsoft problem. I am expecting a call from them so will be interested to hear what they say.

    I will monitor and update this thread if necessary.

    • Is this the first time you encountered this issue?
    • When was the last time you were able to send email?
    • Was there any changes on your computer prior to this issue?
    • Have you tried sending email using a webmail like Outlook.com?
