Thank you for providing the details. If a third-party software is currently scanning the specific folder, you will not able to delete it because there's an active service that is using that folder. The approximate download size of Forza Horizon 3 is 4.18 MB - 55.04 GB. For more information about Forza Horizon 3, kindly refer to this link.

For further queries, feel free to post back.

    Hello Andrew,

It is possible that the file ownership has changed or the file is encrypted that's why you're unable to delete it. For us to efficiently assist you, we would like to ask a few questions:

    • Could you tell us the exact error message that you are getting when you're trying to delete the folder?
    • Were there any third-party applications installed on your computer?

Meanwhile, you may also try the suggestions provided in this article on how to free drive space in Windows 10.

    We're looking to your response.

The ownership of the file was never in question. Labeled "trusted installer" regarding ownership aka Microsoft.

I managed to take ownership of the folder and have managed to delete the file "Deleted" using 3rd part software "Revo uninstaller" and "CCleaner" but you lot need to realize that Forza Horizon 3, which once purchased is essentially a Windows application, is creating 50+Gb shadow copies of the original 50+Gb game files. Which if i was not rather proficient in IT i would have been unable to remove.

You really need to get your act together regarding the application in question considering the multitude of problems associated with Forza Horizon 3, not you personally, but whatever team or division that is in charge.
