    Good morning Radney

I have a quick question I hope.  Is there a way to safely disable the graphics card adapter now that I'm able to get into my computer?  I'm not very tech savvy but I am very good at following directions.

Thank you for all your help and I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving.  Again thank you very much.

When I got home last night I turned on the computer and it was back to working but I am going to make sure I keep your solution should it ever happen again I'll try your response to how to possibly correct the problem.

thank you so much for your help.

    Hi Dona,

We need to do further investigation so that we can identify the cause of the issue. Have you recently made any change/updates before this issue happened? One of the causes is the graphics card adapter being faulty. Since you are unable to get into your computer we may need to perform a hard shut down to access the Windows 10 Recovery Environment, boot in Safe Mode and try to disable the graphics card adapter. Follow the steps below:

    1. Start your desktop, and after the manufacturers logo disappears and Windows 10 tries to boot, press and hold the power button for 5-10 seconds to perform a hard shut down.
    2. Do the step #1 until you see the Windows logo screen or Please wait during boot. (You may need to perform this up to 3 times.)
    3. After Windows 10 boots into the Windows 10 Recovery Environment**(WinRE)**, you can now access Startup Recovery, Safe Mode, and Command Prompt.
    4. Go to Troubleshoot > Advanced Options > Startup Settings and click Restart.
    5. Upon restart, click/press 4 to boot into Safe Mode.

    Looking forward to your response.
