Ok I have a rather frustrating issue with my Lenovo Ideapad 100 15iby Laptop. when I install windows 10 either home or upgrade prof I have my speakers and HEADPHNES showing in playback devices. plus also ( digital Audio ) as part of the High def devices.

When I check the device manager it shows two high definition audio devices both say working fine. However when I check the events in the drivers it says

Device HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_8086&DEV_2882&SUBSYS_80860101&REV_1000\4&44ebddf&0&0201 requires further installation.

This message also shows in the play back devices when I check events When the driver updates I loose the Headphones however The High def shows as working ok with no errors in events the Digital Audio shows as OK but with the error message?

When the headphones are showing I get sound on test so I know the hardware is working it seems like a driver issue that I just cant fathom out

Ive tried uninstalling drivers reinstalling Also older drivers. Wiping windows reinstalling but nothing appears to sort this issue I desperately need some help and advice on this.

Hi Bill,

Corruption within the Windows Audio components is one of the possible reasons why you are encountering sound issues in Windows 10.

To address the issue, we suggest running the audio troubleshooter. To run the troubleshooter, select the Start button, type Troubleshoot, and then select Troubleshootfrom the list of results. Select Playing Audio > Run the troubleshooter.
