Hello,

I am trying to change my Windows 10 operating system architecture from 32 to 64 bit.

These are the steps I have taken:

  1. Downloaded the 64 bit Windows 10 ISO from Windows Media Creator
  2. Booted using the USB

The issue I am facing is that the screen hangs on Microsoft Logo as soon as I boot using USB. No errors, no dialogs, nothing. Just windows logo. and nothing proceeds. I've tried it multiple times with the same screen getting hanged (or stuck?)

What am I doing wrong? (or a bug?) Please help me, since 32 bit is restricting me to 3.5 gb RAM.

Could be corrupt install media, I would try recreating a bootable copy using Rufus as described in the following article:

Also try simplifying your configuration, something might blocking setup:

    Hi Divyanshu,

There is a possibility that the recovery media is corrupted or the USB port is not working. To properly isolate this issue, kindly verify the following:

    • Have you tried using other USB ports?
    • Have you tried reformatting the USB and re-create the installation media?
    • Have you tried changing the boot order from the BIOS settings?

We're looking forward to your response.

I just re-downloaded the installation media on a different USB and used a different port. And yes I have changed the boot order to USB. But the boot still gets stuck at the logo.

The USB gets recognized, tries to boot, but then gets stuck at Windows Logo Splash screen.

My PC processor is x64 based and so are all components compatible (if u need it).
