Just did the 2018 October update. System fonts are either gone partially gone or disappear when rolling over with mouse. If for example, I open the Control Panel there are only icons and no fonts displaying beside all of the tools in Control Panel. Same goes for File Explorer plus the scroll window to the left the fonts disappear when rolls the mouse pointer over them. Is there a fix for this or will I just have to rollback?

Just decide to try and restore default fonts. This worked for now. Hopefully by the next upgrade this annoyance will be a thing of the past. 11:17 AM 10/12/2018
Hi, ManvithPenklagar
I think this topic will have the answer to your issue:
Hi,
here is what my windows displays at the moment and dont know gow to fix it. Hope you can help. Thanks
Hi Manvith. I'm Greg, a volunteer installation specialist and 8 year Windows MVP, here to help you.
Can you System Restore to a point before the Windows Update installed? http://home.bt.com/tech-gadgets/computing/how-t...
You can roll back Fall Creators Update Version 1709 to the older version until it matures: http://www.thewindowsclub.com/rollback-uninstal...
Then hide the Update using the Hide Update Tool so it doesn't try to force itself: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3073930
To try to repair it start with Step 7 and work through this Checklist: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/wiki...
But remember that Factory or Upgrade installs are inferior installs which most enthusiasts won't even run because they'd expect endless issues. Consider doing the Clean Install in this link which compiles the best possible install that will stay that way as long as you stick with the tools and methods given: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/wiki...
There is also an automated Refresh that reinstalls WIndows while shedding corrupting factory bloatware, saves your files, but doesn't clear the drive to get it cleanest: https://www.howtogeek.com/265054/how-to-easily-...
I hope this helps. Feel free to ask back any questions and let us know how it goes. I will keep working with you until it's resolved.
