Hi,
I recently have run into a situation where my computer fails to shutdown properly. When I click the shutdown button everything goes as normal - the orange screen and the "shutting down" working wheel appears. The screen then goes black for a moment (normal spot the system should power down) but then the Blue Screen of Death pops up.
Error is "system thread exception not handled" - and although the BSOD promises it the system does not reboot. I used WhoCrashed to look at the dump files but the it doesn't show any dumps/crashes from when these errors appear. Any suggestions or hints on what steps to take next?

Unfortunately, no errors detected with the troubleshooter.
In addition to those I'd also go over this Checklist to make sure the install is set up correctly, optimized for best performance, and any needed repairs get done: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/wiki...
But remember that a factory or Upgrade install are inferior installs that most enthusiasts would never run in the first place because they'd expect endless issues. Most prefer to do the gold standard Clean install from this link: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/wiki...
There is also an automated Windows 10 Refresh which reinstalls Windows while leaving out the factory bloatware that throttles Windows and causes endless issues, and lets you save your files. https://www.howtogeek.com/265054/how-to-easily-...
I hope this helps. Feel free to ask back any questions and let us know how it goes. I'll keep working with you until this is resolved.
Please share the minidumps for a better analysis of the problem. Instructions can be found here:
Hello,
