Cant delete a folder getting error '"access denied" even thought i am the admin and owner

Question

So basically i got a virus and i tried to delete it by ending the prossess in the task manager but when i went to where its located it gave me an access denied error even thought im the owner and admin of the computer. if i can get any help it would be greatly appreciated.

i do have bitdefender but i think the virus is stoping me from opening it so no icant scan the files with bitdefender and yes i do have full control over the file

If you are unable to scan your system through your antivirus application, you may use the built-in antivirus application in Windows, which is Windows Defender. You may have to temporarily disable your antivirus application, to turn on Windows Defender in Windows 10. To read more about Windows Defender, click here.

If you are getting an 'Access denied' error when attempting to access or delete a file, it could be that the file ownership have changed, or that the file is encrypted or corrupted, or that an application is blocking you from deleting the file. For us to isolate the issue in deleting a file, kindly respond to the questions below:

1. Can you tell us if there are any third-party antivirus applications installed on your device?
2. Are you able to scan and delete the file using your antivirus application?
3. Can you tell us if the file ownership is assigned to you? To check, right-click the file, then select Properties. Select the Security tab, then click Advanced. Under Permission entries, see if you are listed to have Full control of the file.
