I received an error code 0x8E5E01F5, which means the log file is corrupt. This happened after downloading a few optional updates. Can this be fixed?

Thank you for your responce, I logged into safe mode, reset to a previous time, this fixed the boot loop I was stuck in. Then I opened the fix problems with systyem which actually fixed the problem.

When are you seeing this error code? Please quote the entire error message verbatim. If necessary, take a screenshot and include it in your reply. How to include a screenshot in your post

A corrupt log file will usually require a repair of the database, and any transactions in that log file will not be recorded. This won't necessarily involve any loss of data. However, let's see the error message first.
