From where are you trying to download the ISO? It wouldn't matter since the editions of both are same OEM Pro(correct me if I am I incorrect)

These are usually part numbers that determine the market channel to which they are distributed. For example, it might for Latin America or North America. It really doesn't make a difference. As long as not a preinstalled OEM license.

The X20-08980 ISO is downloading as 3.7GB, so I assume the size on the site is wrong.

I think the poster is asking about the two Windows 10 64bit versions that are available for download under the Partner login.

I have the same quandary about which I need:

    1. Product: Windows 10 Professional Version 10 Language English, DL Size 2851MB

        Part Number: X20-08980

    and

    1. Windows 10 Professional, Version 1607 64 bit English Version 10 DL Size 4177MB

        Part Number: X21-05999

The 1607 version (x21) is almost double the size - my googling has identified it as the anniversary version - in 2016.

But no idea if the other one is later.  I can see what is included - but no idea when the other is released, or what is left out of that one.

I'm setting up a VM so would prefer not to be stalled by lots of updates when I'm trying to get into some dev.

Any help would be appreciated.  Thanks!
