Windows 10 Update error code 0x8024200D.

Question

My system received an update for Windows 10

2017-11 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1709 for amd64-based Systems (KB4048955) (497)

And its size is 6.91 MB

This update is downloaded repeatedly

And when want to install it got to 25% and quickly got to 100% and again show Awaiting install and Initializing and again show download

And this is constantly repeated

And have this error : Last failed install attempt on ‎12/‎8/‎2017 - 0x8024200d

Any suggestions.

The error code definition says:

0x8024200D	WU_E_UH_<br><br><br>NEEDANOTHERDOWNLOAD	The installer requires more data to be downloaded.

I would suggest downloading the MSU and do an offline install:

If that installs successfully, then our next step would be to watch out for the updates releasing next Tuesday to narrow out if it was an error with the update itself.

Use the Following tutorial to  Reset Windows updates completely and check if it helps:

Make sure you run the script as an administrator.

I did this tutorial step by step

And according this tutorial when check for new update after restart my windows

An new update received with this information :

And again, the same things happened again, like

And this is constantly repeated ''

Is there any other suggestion?

This Approach worked correctly on my system

And my Windows Update problem was also completely solved
