Im not very good with pc’s and didnt want to mess up my pc anymore. When it came up with the option to restart it said there was a problem, and had an error code:d0000452. Im not sure what to do to get my pc working again.

    Hi Alex,

Error d0000452 can be caused by damaged registry files, malware, hardware problems, software conflicts, and corrupted system files.

For us to better assist you, we'd like to know if you've installed any software or made any hardware changes on your computer prior to the issue?

In the meantime, since you're unable to boot your computer in normal mode, try booting your computer in safe mode. Click on Advanced Options (which is being provided when booting up your PC) > click Startup Settings > choose Restart > After restart, you'll see a list of options, select or press 4 or F4 to start your PC in Safe Mode.

If you were able to boot into safe mode, there's a possibility that the issue is coming from a third-party application so perform a clean boot to eliminate any software conflicts.

Click on this link for more information on how to perform a clean boot on Windows 10.

Note: Refer to How to reset the computer to start normally after clean boot troubleshooting section of the article to know more information on how to start your computer in normal mode after the clean boot process.

To go out from safe mode, right-click on Start > click Run > type msconfig > press Enter> under Boot tab, uncheck Safe boo****t > Restart.

Let us know if you need further assistance.

    Thank you for the update.

Try performing a Startup repair by following the steps below:

    1. Turn off your computer, then turn it back on.
    2. As soon as you see the Windows logo with the spinning dots, press and hold the power button until your computer turns off. Do this process twice.
    3. Turn on your computer for the third time, and let it load.
    4. It should give you the message: Preparing Automatic Repair.
    5. On the next screen, choose Advanced Options.
    6. Select Troubleshoot.
    7. Go to Advanced Options.
    8. Click on Startup Repair.
    9. Wait for the repair process to finish.

Update us with the outcome so we can provide further assistance.

when i pressed startup settings and then restart it came up with a screen saying “there was a problem, restart your pc to try again”, this was what happened before. There was a restart button which i pressed but brings me back to the screen that says “boot menu” and “app menu” with two options. None of the options in the boot menu options do anything and the app menu options comes up with some wierd setting options that have enabled and disabled next to them.

    Hello Alex,

I am currently facing the same computer issue as you. What was the diagnostic issue with your laptop? Is it an issue that would require me to take my laptop to get repaired by a professional?
