Could you try installing the latest cumulative update manually?
Error code 0xc1900208 when installing updates for Windows 10
I just got a new Surface Pro and it was installing the latest updates for Windows 10 but it couldn't complete the installation and said "Windows can't be updated at the moment. We will attempt to update later. You can contact Microsoft Support for help with this error. Here is the error code 0xc1900208."
Does anyone know what went wrong?
Thanks

Check to make sure that any incompatible apps are uninstalled and then try upgrading again. Perhaps you might have an idea what that may be ?
Might look in your event logs, it might give a hint.
Often this is caused by a non-Microsoft anti-virus program.
I haven't installed any apps or software programmes yet as I've just bought the device and the Windows 10 update was the first thing the device wanted to do as soon as I'd set up the device to use. I have Norton on my iPhone and my old Toshiba laptop but it's not linked to this new device. The only things I've added are my Gmail accounts and work email (although that doesn't seem to be working so I'll probably just delete that account and access the remote workspace instead).
