Hello MS !

Recently my laptop has detected a problem and my audio device is not working any more.

The problem is with High Definition Audio Controller listed under System Devices in Device Manager.

DEVICE STATUS is as follows :-

This device cannot start. (Code 10)

{Operation Failed}

The requested operation was unsuccessful.

Driver version is 6.3.9600.16384

P.S. I am using Lenovo Z510 Windows 8.1

I have tried installing Realtek High Definition Audio Driver from manufacturer website.

I have also checked Registry Keys Value of hdaudbus for START which is set to 3 already.

You say you went to Lenovo's website, but we don't know what you downloaded.

Go to your Laptop/Computer or Sound Card Manufacturer's website > look for the Drivers and Downloads Section > put in your Laptop Model Number > look for your Operating System > download and install the Audio, etc Drivers you find there.

Also read this Microsoft information and follow the steps there.

    Hi,

    See if this assists you.

    Do a System Restore to a date before you had this problem:
