Thanks for your input. It appears that all the same settings exist in the Control Panel> System Security>File History as they do in the Backup using File History app window. I did find that there were some errors that had occured that interrupted some previous backups and, for some reason, it failed to auto back up after that. It appears to be auto backing up now that I manually restarted it. It would be very nice if the backup program alerted the user that it stopped backing this up, though, without having to check on it.
Windows 10 automatic backup not working
I upgraded from Windows 8 to Windows 10. I am using the Windows 10 backup set to daily.
Size of backup: 90.2GB
Total Space on drive: 931GB
It does not automatically backup daily. Is there a solution to this?
Thanks

2018-06-16T10:28:19+00:00 Yes it must be Windows 7 only because I don't get a message when my backup fails in Windows 10. I am still having problems with Windows 10 and File History not backing up at the scheduled times and I have tried everything to fix it and nothing works.

2018-06-27T04:45:38+00:00 Windows 10, all latest updates. I have tried everything I could find in posts to get my file backup to work with no success.
The fix was to make my external drive shared. Now backup is working fine.
