Hi

Have bought security key to install Windows 10 on my Dell laptop, currently running Windows 7. Getting this error message re "library loader" is missing - try reinstalling. No idea how to do this - laptop is a gift - I'm not original owner. Tips?

    This is not uncommon.

During the upgrade one of the .dll did not register properly.

    You have 2 options.

    Option 1

    Register the dll yourself.

    Option 2

    Do a clean install.

This is an error when upgrading from Win 7 to 10.

Replace the wimgapi.dll in following location

    C:\Windows10Upgrade\wimgapi.dll

With wimgapi.dll found in following location

    C:\Windows\System32\wimgapi.dll

Point to be noted is that Clean or Custom Installs are always better rather than upgrading.

    Download Windows ISO - http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/wiki...

    Clean Install - http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/insider/wiki...

    Custom Install - http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/insider/wiki...
