Hello Jordan,
Computer crashes may be caused by driver or hardware failure. We recommend that you follow the troubleshooting steps below to address the issue:
Method 1: Disable the automatic restart of Windows 7 on system failure.
By default, the computer is configured to automatically restart when Windows stops responding.
If your computer constantly restarts while you are using it or if you are trying to shut down the computer after it has stopped unexpectedly, disabling Automatically Restart option will give you receive an error message when the computer stops responding. This error message may describe the cause of the problem.
To disable automatic restart on system failure, follow these steps:
- Open Control Panel > Go to System and Security.
- Under System and Security, click on System.
- On the left side panel, click on Advanced System Settings.
- Hit Startup and Recovery option.
- Click Settings.
- Uncheck Automatically Restart then hit OK.
Note: Your computer will not restart automatically next time when Windows encounters a system failure. Kindly post any error messages/codes that you will receive.
Method 2: Update driver.
Download and install the latest graphics card driver from the manufacturer’s website.
Method 3: Troubleshooting blue screen error.
