BRCM-DMS:2?

This has been asked a lot, but I think I may have a bit more info.

It appears under Network, and from what I know, it seems to be a media sharing thing. I have a Samsung Smart TV and the service is on there as well. I can't view the folders on my computer, but they're on the same network, so I believe it shares between folders.

Is there a way to utilize this so I can share videos and music between my computer and TV? Microsoft probably still doesn't know what this is, but that's what I believe it is from my Googling and evidence. I'd like to be able to use this if possible.

Hi,

BRCM-DMS:2 is a file-sharing functionality built into a video/ audio player.

This concern is more complex than what is typically answered in this forum. Since it is most likely that this is more of an engineering issue,it would be best to redirect you to a dedicated team that may have an in-depth knowledge about it. Please check Microsoft Development Network Forum (MSDN).
