Change default setting under Control Panel - Display

Windows sets this readability value per default to 125% for all texts and elements. Some programs cause problems, because their GUI is not adjusting to the new text sizes at all, so some letters and words are cut off.

As of right now, only solution is to go around all laptops and fix it for every user the first time they log in. Which isn't a solution at all, workaround at best.

Apparently Windows sets this to a value, which it thinks works best for the device screen.

Here's the question now: How do I change the default value under Display to 100% for the whole system?

    Solution found as follows:

    Registry Key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Hardware Profiles\Current\Software\Fonts\

Change key LogPixels Value from dec 120 (hex 78) to dec 96 (hex 60)

    Reboot
