Hey I recently just bought a MSI DS501 Headset. Everything works great except the mic, It gives constant loud buzzing/static when I talk into it and it shows constant levels of audio output, usually much higher than what is displayed here. I have a USB adapter for headphone and mic port but I have tried my mic port and the usb adapter and I still get the buzzing. I have contacted MSI over the phone but they didn't help me trouble shoot anything. I have read some stuff online but haven't found a solution. Please help, thanks.

Yeah sorry I don't really understand , i have a laptop I don't understand how I'll plug it into my sound card ..
Thank you for your response. The line-in is a jack found on computer sound cards that enable a user to connect an external audio device.

What do you mean by plugging it into the "Line in" input ?
Hi Seth,
May we know if you have installed any software applications or changed any hardware devices to your device prior to the concern?
The static you hear is a distortion. Try to lower the level of the microphone way down, and raise the master volume of the computer up. Look at your mic level for changes.
If your mic input on your computer is 'mono'. the only way to get a stereo mic to work would be by plugging it into the Line In input of your sound card. Then select 'Line In' as your default device and check the 'Listen to this device' box in Listen. Make sure it is not muted in 'Levels' and say "Testing, one, two, three."
If you require any further information, feel free to let us know.
