Hi there,

I have an Azure Infrastracture where I've created a Recovery Service Vault used to store my backup done with Azure Backup Server.
Azure Backup Server is on premise and I backup server Vmware machines (on-premise) structured in a local Vcenter.

I've choose (for space problem) to put the Azure Backup Server on premise and not on cloud but I was wondering how I can restore a Vm Machine without it!

Let's say that my physical datacenter dies. I have a backuped VM machine on Azure cloud, How can I restore it without azure backup server available?

thanks so much!

@asdf das Welcome to Microsoft Q & A Community Forum. To ensure that data can be recovered if Microsoft Azure Backup Server (MABS) fails, you have to back up MABS servers by backing up MABS databases. To back up MABS server, refer this article.
