What happens when you kill Netbeans and Firefox?

Open Start > Settings > Privacy > Background apps

    Disable all Background apps.

Also, check whats starting up with Windows.

    Press Windows key + X

    Click Task Manager

    Click Startup tab

    Disable all except Windows Defender.

    Press Windows key + R

    Type: msconfig

    Hit Enter

    Go to the services tab

    Check the box,

    hide all Microsoft services

    Disable the remaining services

    Click Apply then OK

    Restart if prompted

    Open Start, type: problem reports

    Hit Enter

Delete any failed or pending reports.

Go to Start > Settings > System > Notifications and actions > Turn off "Show me tips about Windows."

If you have Chrome installed, uninstall then reinstall it.

I'm Greg, an installation specialist and 8 year Windows MVP, here to help you.

There are specific fixes for 100% disk usage here:

    https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/for...

    https://www.kapilarya.com/fix-windows-10-100-pe...

Go over this checklist to make sure the install is set up correctly, optimized for best performance, and any needed repairs get done: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/wiki...

Start with Step 4 to turn off Startup freeloaders which can conflict and cause issues, then Step 7 to check for infection the most through way, then step 11 to check for damaged System Files.

Update your drivers from the PC's Support Downloads web page. Compare the latest drivers with the ones presently installed in Device Manager reached by right clicking the Start Menu. Make sure you have the latest BIOS, Chipset, Display (Video), Sound, USB3, Bluetooth, Network and all other drivers, or else download and install the latest now.

I hope this helps. Feel free to ask back any questions and let us know how it goes. I will keep working with you until it's resolved.

Could you give it a few days to settle down and make sure all the latest updates are installed? Also, check to make sure the Intel Rapid Storage Driver is installed.
