    Hello,

Thank you for the reply. This is a standard laptop Hewlett-Packard model 15-r052 with windows 10 (everything here is bought with registered software and hardware). Yes i have tried sending the same to HP. To what appears to be a most simple tech question becomes the most difficult complicated convoluted process. Some day in the future the human race will return to voice communication to rectify these things within moments. I just want to program a simple function (not have to use a "ctrl c or v") key to always have this email address, *************@ameritech.net at my fingertip. Am I not explaining myself very well? By the way I am no better than a novice with beginner skills when it comes to this stuff. Thanks for all your help anyway and no your reply did not help me any better or further along this issue.

    Best regards,

    Dean

    Hi Dean,

Fn keyscan be customized based on the keyboard hardware capability and the app feature itself. This means that this feature is not available to some keyboards. To address your concerns, we’d like to ask you a few questions:

    • What is the exact make and model of your computer?
    • Are you using a laptop or a desktop computer?
    • What is the program you are using?
    • If this is a laptop, can you contact your computer manufacturer and confirm if you can customize your built-in keyboard?
    • If this is custom or specialized keyboard, you may check their website to download a program that can customize their shortcut keys.

Microsoft Officeprograms have the feature to customize keyboard shortcuts. However, not all programs have this feature.

Let us know if you have other concerns.
