Hello, I seem to get a BSoD almost every time I download a game or a patch through steam and I have no idea what the cause could be. Here is a link to the latest memory dump.

    Hello, I did reinstall the Realtek network adapter driver 5 days ago and today I got another BSOD, again while downloading a game on steam. Here is the minidump that resulted.

    Hi,

    The minidump file references the rt640x64.sys which is the Realtek network adapter driver:

    BugCheck 1000007E, {ffffffffc0000005, fffff804d599c5f6, ffffbd0095274158, ffffbd00952739a0}

    *** WARNING: Unable to verify timestamp for rt640x64.sys

    *** ERROR: Module load completed but symbols could not be loaded for rt640x64.sys

    Probably caused by : NETIO.SYS ( NETIO!KfdClassify+206 )

    Try uninstalling and reinstalling the  Realtek network adapter driver.

    Post back if the BSOD persists.

    I am using Windows 10 version 1709 (build 16299.19), here is a dxdiag for the computer model and regarding 3rd-party antivirus I am using just a free edition of malwarebytes antimalware for periodic scans.

    Hello Dan,

    1. Press Windows key + R, then type in winver.

    • What is the make and model of your computer?
    • Are you using any 3rd-party antivirus software?

    Meanwhile, we recommend performing the suggested steps in this article to troubleshoot blue screen issues on Windows 10.

    We look forward to your response.

    Regards.
