Blue screen

Hi there

Using a back up computer (other died)... seemed fine

but now I continue to get the CMUDAX3.SYS error

and I do not understand why.

Seems not matter where I go, the problem occurs and

it sends off info to MS.

Even when attempting to go to Device Manager the computer

crashes with this same error and restarts.

PLEASE I need help on this one; cannot play videos, DVDs, etc.

and it seems to occur just any time it pleases...   always with

this same error.

The Windows Update does not work either!

Thanks

John R

    You. welcome for the help.

The computer appears to have an added sound card that uses the CMUDAX3.SYS and the CMUDAX3.SYS appears to be from 2008 so may have problems with Windows 10.

Can you open the Device Manager and expand  "Sound, video and game controllers".

    What exactly is listed?

Also are you comfortable working inside the computer case as it may be necessary to remove an added sound card if the blue screen errors can't be resolved.

Also, where did you want to disable OneDrive?

I uploaded the MINIDUMP files from a folder on my desktop.

This is the link I received from the One Drive program.

BTW ANY chance I can disable One Drive????  It took me days

to get photos and scanned documents to a bank for a home

    loan...

The CMUDAX3.SYS referenced in the error appears to be a driver related to sound.

Can you restart the computer in Safe Mode and then open the Device Manager and expand "Sound, video and game controllers".

    What is listed?

Can you right-right any item listed and select "Disable device" and then disable the device.

Restart the computer in Normal Mode.

Then can you zip up the minidump files in the C:\Windows\Minidump folder and make available (provide link) via a public folder on OneDrive or similar site.

Here's a link on using OneDrive:

    http://windows.microsoft.com/en-ca/onedrive/share-file-folder

If you have problems zipping the minidump files copy the minidump files to another location such as a folder on the Desktop

Also, you do not necessarily have to zip up the minidump files, you can upload them one at a time.
