Access Denied

Alright, so I have been working on a project for about a month now that would allow me to play my Xbox One games in virtual reality. To do this, I need to put the file xinput1_3.dll into the folder C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\Microsoft.XboxApp_31.32.11001.0_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe. I have given myself full access permission to this folder. When I go to move the .dll file into the Xbox App folder, I get "Destination Folder Access Denied." So I tried to unset Read Only, and certain files in the folder were unset. However other files gave me "Access Denied," and when I tried to move the .dll file into the folder after all was said and done... "Destination Folder Access Denied." Please note I am 15 years old and am not overly familiar with windows jargon, so you might have to put things in layman's terms. It also might be worth noting that I can cycle through 3 states of the "Read Only" checkbox. One is filled with a black square, one is a checkmark, and one is blank. Not sure exactly what this means. If you would like me to upload screenshots/ screen recording of my issue I would be happy to do so.

Sorry for the late response. It is possible that moving the DLL file is not allowed in that folder. Instead, you may need to download a specific file/application extension in order to add the DLL file to that location. Regarding this, you may need an advance Xbox troubleshooting and setup guide in order to use VR capabilities. Kindly post your query to the Xbox forums, they are the team that is best-suited in helping you with your issue.

Should you have more concerns, feel free to post.

    Hi Drake,

Usually, Access Denied error happens when the current user account that you are using is not an administrator. Are you using an administrator account? If not, kindly use one.

In case that you are already using an administrator account, we recommend referring to this article in order to troubleshoot your folder accessibility issue.

Note: Steps for Windows 8 and Windows 7 also works onWindows 10.

Let us know how things go.

    Regards.

I am indeed an administrator, and I have verified that I am the owner of the folder. I have ruled out all of the possibilities listed on the link that you supplied, except for that my user account is corrupted and is not being read properly by windows 10. I will create a new admin account and try to access the folder from there.

EDIT: Creating a new user account and making it Admin was unsuccessful. That rules out all possibilities on that article. Any other ideas? Please?
