Error code 0x80072ee7 during Window's 10 update

Question

My computer has been attempting to download and install a Window's 10 update for about a week now but always errors out. It give me the 0x80072ee7. Can you please tell me what the heck is going on????

Windows Update may not install properly if there were some third-party program on your computer preventing them to get installed or some Windows update components might be corrupt. To help you with this, we suggest that you perform the troubleshooting steps below:

Method 1: Run Windows Update troubleshooter.

Windows Update troubleshooter provides the solution to some common problems with installing updates. The troubleshooter will also try to fix problems automatically. 

Method 2: Reset Windows Update components.

This method will modify the registry. Serious problems might occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Before you modify it, back up the registry for restoration in case of problems occur.

Method 3: Disable antivirus/security software temporarily.

Disclaimer: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you shouldn't disable your antivirus software. If you have to temporarily disable it to install other software, you should re-enable it as soon as you're done. If the Windows 10 Upgrade Assistant becomes stuck or unresponsive at various percentages: 0%, 32%, 62%, 87%, 99%, please wait at least 4 to 7 hours. If you are updating through Windows Update, when the download reaches 99% disconnect from the Internet LAN (Ethernet) or Wi-Fi then proceed with the installation.
