Recent notification list?

original title: Historic notification list? era 2013 but restated for Win10

Is there a way to view recent notifications on Win10?

You may see a useful notification but don't want to act on it if you are in the middle of something (which most likely you are) and then you can't remember what it was when you're ready — or at least it would be useful if there was a quick way to recall it.  That said, perhaps it was thought best to avoid the ever-growing notification lists we tend to be getting bogged down with these days.

Just got a new computer with Windows 10 - got a notification about how to speed up the machine by disabling a couple of things I am not using and clicked the X thinking I would read it again later...  Very frustrating - spent a lot of time trying to get it back and now find out I can't.

I get a notification, it flits off the screen before I get a chance to fully understand where it came from, and now I can't find it to see what it was all about! I need to know.

Thanks

Hi I am sorry, no history is maintained of these notifications and therefore cannot be retrieved

Actually it would be a good idea, why not add it to the list of suggestions for improvements to Windows 10 - Press the Windows Key + F to open the Feedback Hub and add that suggestion there. The Windows Developers keep an eye on suggestions made there . . .

Some applications use their own notification system, but some that use the built in Notification system in Windows 10 can be accessed from the Action Center. Press Windows key + A on your keyboard to view them.
