I cannot shutdown/close Windows Mail

I am trying to migrate from a Windows PC to an Apple PC. Using the Windows Migration Assistant, I get the message that I need to close Windows Mail. I have never used Windows Mail. I deleted it from Live Essentials. My Windows 10 is up to date & I have used the app trouble shooter. Any thoughts?
